Class not registered error when starting vMix
When starting or registering vMix you may receive an error similar to the following:
Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))
The error may also be include the words "Invalid Class" or "System.Management.MTAHelper" or "invalid namespace" or "Not Found" or "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {A8F03BE3-EDB7-4972-821F-AF6F8EA34884} failed due to the following error: 80131701"
This error occurs when a windows component called WMI is corrupt or is malfunctioning.
Repairing WMI can be a complicated process, so in most cases the best solution is to reinstall windows.
